Almond branches in blossom against a bright blue sky — one of Van Gogh's most tender paintings — printed onto tissue soft enough to fold around anything. It's the finishing touch that turns even the simplest parcel into something considered.
About the design
This design features Almond Blossom by Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), the Dutch Post-Impressionist whose work is among the most loved in the world. He painted it in early 1890 as a gift to celebrate the birth of his baby nephew — named Vincent, after him — choosing the almond tree because it is one of the first to flower each year, a natural emblem of new life.
Inspired by the Japanese prints Van Gogh so admired, its cropped branches and clear blue sky give the painting a fresh, almost graphic beauty. The original is held at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Reproduced here, that same quiet joy comes to something you can wrap with, line a keepsake box, or simply keep for its own sake.
