Somebody has to keep the Boar Store running, and that somebody is Sardine Tin. Part-time logistics manager, full-time organiser: inventory counted, crates stacked, every last supply tinned, tagged and ready to move. He keeps a spreadsheet for all of it, sorted by brine level, and sees nothing peculiar in that. People assume he must be dull company. He isn't, once he warms up. He will not, however, be drawn on the contents of tin number four. That one stays shut.
As an object it's one of the more inspired things Jellycat have made: a squashy silver tin, 17cm across and sitting at 15cm, with three contented sardines packed in nose to tail, stitched detailing and shiny little eyes. There's no bean filling in this one, only polyester fibres, so it's light and sits flat on a shelf rather than slumping.
Worth noting that it's sponge clean only — the construction means it can't go in the washing machine like most of the range.
