About the design

Matthew Williamson is a British fashion designer known the world over for his fearless sense of colour. Born in Manchester and a graduate of Central Saint Martins, he launched his label in 1997 with the dazzling "Electric Angels" show at London Fashion Week, and quickly built a reputation for kaleidoscopic colour, botanical prints and bohemian glamour — a signature that later took him to Emilio Pucci as creative director.

Jaipur Jem takes its name from Jaipur, India's fabled "Pink City" and a legendary centre for gemstones — a fitting muse for a designer so celebrated for jewel-bright colour. It brings that same rich, luminous palette to tissue you can wrap with, line a keepsake box, or simply keep for its own sake.
