Legami Bulb Fiction XL Table Lamp - Santa Claus

Regular price £18.00 Sale

A giant glass light bulb with Santa inside it, and the lights twinkle. Bulb Fiction XL is the showpiece of Legami's Christmas lighting — an oversized bulb, 9.3cm across, mounted on a weighted base, with a figure of Santa suspended in the middle and intermittent lights that flicker rather than sitting flat on.

It charges by USB-C, which is the detail that makes it genuinely usable. No batteries to replace halfway through December and no trailing mains cable, so it can sit on a mantelpiece, a shelf or a windowsill with nothing visible behind it.

The base is weighted and anti-tip, which matters for a glass object that will end up somewhere a cat walks. Glass and metal construction rather than moulded plastic, so it has the weight and the optical quality to look like an object rather than a novelty — it's 246g and reads as deliberate on a shelf.

This is the piece people buy for themselves after seeing it lit. We'll have one running on the counter at 22 Burgate in Canterbury — come and see it in the dark, which is the only way to judge it. Order online for UK delivery.

FAQ

How is it powered?
A built-in rechargeable battery, topped up over USB-C. No disposable batteries and nothing to plug into the wall while it's in use.

Do the lights stay on or flash?
They're intermittent, so they twinkle rather than burning steadily.

Is it actually glass?
Yes, glass and metal. That's what gives it the optical depth a plastic bulb can't manage, and the reason the base is weighted.

Is it stable?
The base is specifically designed as anti-tip, which is worth having for a glass object on a shelf.

Does it make a good gift?
It's the one in this range that works as a proper present rather than an extra, and it suits someone who already has everything decorative they need.
