Five characters from a Christmas village that doesn't exist, which is rather the charm of it. Dream Peaks is Legami's invented alpine hamlet, and this limited edition set brings five of its residents along as mini erasable pens: the library owl, the beaver who makes things, the walrus who runs the funfair, a notably elegant Arctic fox and a husky with a musical streak.
They write in thermo-sensitive ink, which is the genuinely useful part. The friction of the eraser on the end warms the ink until it vanishes — no shavings, no grey smudge, no hole worn through the paper. Rewrite over the top straight away. For planners, revision notes, advent calendars and anyone who redrafts a Christmas list four times, it's a far better system than Tipp-Ex.
The pens are the mini size, with a 0.7mm tip, and the five come boxed together in a 15cm square pack that's presentable enough to give as it is. Each character is different, which is exactly why people buy a set and then want the advent calendar from the same range.
Limited edition means limited edition: Dream Peaks is this year's Christmas story and the cast changes next year. Come and test one on the pad at our Canterbury shop, 22 Burgate, or order online for UK delivery.

FAQ
How does the erasing work?
The ink is thermo-sensitive. Rubbing the eraser creates friction, the heat makes the ink turn clear, and you can write over the same spot straight away. Nothing is scraped off the paper.
Will the writing come back?
It can. Thermo-sensitive ink reappears at low temperatures, so don't use these pens for anything that might end up in a freezer — or for anything official, like forms or cheques.
How many pens are in the set?
Five, one per character, all different.
Are these full-size pens?
No, they're the mini size — which is what makes them fit a pencil case, a stocking or an advent calendar pocket.
Is there anything else in the Dream Peaks range?
Yes, Legami do a Dream Peaks advent calendar and other pieces from the same village. Ask us what we've managed to get hold of.
Does it make a good gift?
It's one of the strongest small gifts we stock — boxed, collectable and genuinely useful.
