If Leola looks like someone you've met before, that's because she's Bartholomew Bear's cousin — and she is the reason he has a wardrobe at all. Every costume he's ever turned up in came off her workbench: the ruby fluff of the Heartthrob outfit, the Bat Bear cape, the bold Sun suit she ran up to give him some confidence before his carnival debut. He is, conveniently, her favourite thing to dress.
She loses whole afternoons to it. Tea goes cold, gets reheated, goes cold again, and Bartholomew turns up with a fresh mug and a plate of slightly squashed biscuits because he knows how this goes. Nobody outside the family has noticed her talent yet. She doesn't seem to mind.
She's made in the same mould as her cousin, in tousled blush-pink fur with a chunky muzzle, petal-fold ears and a bean-weighted bottom that lets her slump and settle. Medium stands 26cm with a 22cm sitting height; Large is a serious armful at 36cm. Both suitable from birth, both with that slightly scruffy coat the Bartholomew family is known for.
Leola Bear is in stock now at Wrapped! — come and meet her at our Canterbury shop on Burgate, or order online for UK delivery. If there's already a Bartholomew in the house, she's the obvious next one through the door.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a genuine Jellycat?
Yes, Wrapped! is an official Jellycat stockist.
Is Leola related to Bartholomew Bear?
She's his cousin, and in Jellycat's own telling she designs and sews every costume he wears. If someone collects the Bartholomew range, she's the natural next addition.
Which size should I go for?
Medium (26cm, sitting at 22cm) is the classic and the easier gift. Large (36cm) is the one collectors tend to want.
What age is she suitable for?
Suitable from birth, though not for leaving in a cot or crib because of her size. Check her over regularly for wear or damage.
Can she be washed?
Yes, at 30°C. No tumble drying, dry cleaning or ironing. Check all labels when your order arrives.
What's inside her?
Polyester fibres and PE beans, weighted into her base so she sits and settles.
