About the design

This design features the Sunflowers of Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), the Dutch Post-Impressionist whose work is among the most recognisable and best-loved in the world. He painted his famous sunflowers in Arles, in the south of France, in 1888 — bright, radiant still lifes intended to decorate the "Yellow House" ahead of a visit from his friend and fellow artist Paul Gauguin.
