An intricate Victorian wallpaper, drawn from the V&A collection and printed onto tissue soft enough to fold around anything. It's the finishing touch that turns even the simplest parcel into something considered.

About the design

V&A Leicester reproduces a wallpaper designed by John Henry Dearle (1859–1932) for Morris & Co. in 1887. Dearle trained under William Morris and went on to become the firm's chief designer — so while his elegant, densely woven foliage patterns are often mistaken for Morris's own, they are very much his.

The original Leicester wallpaper is held in the collection of the V&A — the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Reproduced here from the archive, that same rich, layered detail brings a piece of the collection to something you can wrap with, line a keepsake box, or simply keep for its own sake.

How to use it

  • Wrap gifts, candles, ceramics or a treasured find from the shelf
  • Line a drawer, hamper, gift box or shoe box
